Visiting a hotel that will have 16 accessible apartments, coming soon…

We were asked to visit accommodation that will be opening soon in central London to view their accessible apartments. In this funky and trendy new hotel, the designs are coming along nicely and we were asked to attend to give our views as to how accessible they were…

Starting off there were two lifts, so if  one breaks down, wheelchairs will not be stuck there, until they are fixed. Much needed…! Moving into the rooms, the doors were wide, lights and electrics low and nice and enough room for turning circles throughout.

We loved the wet rooms which were 100% wheelchair and disabled friendly and a rare find in most hotels, despite the requirement for them and the need.  One of the apartments was fully accessible with an oven that moves up and down to suit the user on top of the other adaptions.

We’re delighted with the thoughtful, careful and stylish accessible adaptions that have put in place and look forward to when when this space is finished and these great apartments can be used on a short term basis.  Watch this space…
