To move or not to move, that is the question!?

To move or not to move, that is the question!?

To move or not to move, that is the question!?
We hope you are all keeping well and that you are able to get back to a bit more normality as restrictions start to loosen. .  We thought we would give you an update having completed four weeks of trading since the property market re-opened
Following the Government decision last month to release the property market from lockdown, a wave of pent-up activity has hit the market. I am delighted to report that activity has been very strong throughout the country, and the numbers make impressive reading:
Online property searches soared following the announcement – with Rightmove reporting over 5 million visits the day after the market reopened*.
We have also been informed by the property portal, Rightmove that they have seen the highest number of visits to the site in their 20 year history.

  • 94% of those who planned to move before lockdown still plan to move;
  • Only 3% of properties withdrawn for sale on Rightmove during lockdown;
  • As the UK headed into lockdown, the search for rental properties with more space, outdoor space and   in greener areas has hit a record high.
  • Also Zoopla says “The housing market rebound “off the scale as sales increase by 137%

How are people feeling?
Recently we worked with influential disabled Blogger & Travel Writer – Carrie-Ann Lightley discussing life at home in lock down and how it has made her even more grateful for her accessible home – read her blog here:

We are hands on and help with every step of the move, working out what you need, liaising fully with all the agents so you don’t have to, and negotiating every step of the way. We can also help you during the stressful process of moving between homes which so many people say they need support with.
See the recent report saying that people feel agents should help more with moving…
