We are delighted as our lovely five bedroom home in Telford has been let out to a group of people who really need a great, safe and accessible home. It certainly is a Happy New Year for our landlord who has had this fantastic wheelchair accessible property to rent out with us.
As the house is set up for a full-time wheelchair user, she wanted it to go to those who would need the unique layout, the lift going from the living room up to the bedroom and the en suite wet room. It was extremely important to her that this inclusive house was lived in by those requiring the adaptions.

It is also certainly a Happy New Year for all of those who will be able to make use of this fabulous property soon, as it will be used for supported living.
The premium healthcare services provider that approached us about this property works closely with the council and when they got in touch in December, they said they “were expecting a referral from the council just after the new year and so we just want to make sure we’ve found a home for them”.
They work with people with complex disabilities that require support with managing their everyday living needs. Their age bracket is between 40 – 60 sometimes older, all with non-challenging behaviour.

Supported living is a service designed to help people with a wide range of support needs retain their independence by being supported in their own home. People in supported living have their own tenancy and are responsible for their own bills and cost of living.
There is a huge need for this and as ever, especially not enough accessible housing available.
