he accommodation offers individual apartments for people who want to keep their independence and would like the opportunity to be part of a community, but feel safe knowing that care and support services are on call, just moments away
Each suite has a modern and stylish feel to them, with an en-suite designed with accessibility in mind, and a voice-activated Alexa system built in. Their approach to independent living is unique and that’ve adopted and adapted the latest technology to make the lives of the residents much easier.
Miles Pearce, the Property Manager discusses how the accommodation works and who it will benefit:
“These are for a range of people which includes elderly and those requiring care and these units work for those requiring accessible housing which meets the needs of disabled people and are they are available for people of any age.
“These units were designed with the intention of offering affordable housing to those requiring accessibility, supported living or who want to live an independent life with the security of on-site support.
Each property is served by multiple automatic doors, a lift and secure coded entry system. Each en-suite has the provision of multiple handrails and a shower chair. For our current tenants we have installed additional handrails to suit each individual’s needs.”
The Firefly Club currently have three units available for rent, which can be provided either furnished or unfurnished and we’re adverting and marketing their unique services.
In addition to the above, residents of the Independent Living Units can purchase lunches and dinner from the care home, use the hydropool on site and join in a number of on-site activities as seen on The Firefly Club’s Facebook Page
