We take a look at the ‘Assistance Dogs’ in the home

As a nation of dog lovers, we can’t help loving our faithful, fluffy friends. You may well be wondering what have dogs got to do with Branch Properties?!

With our specialism, finding accessible homes, often we source properties for independent clients living alone.  In most cases our clients are 100% happy and able in their new home.  Is some cases though, this is not the case.

Dogs are invaluable assistance for some disabled people living independently in their own homes.  Most people want their independence and for some disabled people, living in their home alone, this would not be possible without the help of the Assistance Dogs.

Assistance dogs are trained to perform tasks to assist people with physical, invisible or mental disabilities, helping them gain independence from others happily and safely.  These beautiful dogs offer emotional support and independence in the home and we think they’re great!

A few well known quotes about the man and woman’s best friend:

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.
—Ben Williams

Dogs and philosophers do the greatest good and get the fewest rewards.

One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you’re feeling blue is that he doesn’t try to find out why.
